“I am a man of the water. I grew up in a family of fishermen and was the eldest of ten kids. We lived right here at the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter, but with all the land reclamation the landscape has changed a lot. I watched as the Cross Harbour Tunnel was built from scratch in the early Seventies. I’m around sailors a lot; they are a friendly bunch and often treat me to meals, like going for seafood at Po Toi O. The job is not easy as I’m always exposed to the sun, wind and rain but I’m really used to it by now. We are boat people after all, so I’m in my element when I’m at sea.”

“I am 74 years old and I live with two of my brothers. We don’t really see our other siblings anymore - unfortunately we’ve lost touch and people are busy and scattered all over. I enjoy sailing as it gives me the opportunity to travel around the world and meet lots of interesting people. I went to Melbourne with my boss a few years ago for a sailing race. We even had movie star Tony Leung on our sailing boat once. That was such a memorable experience for me as we normally only see him on screens and he’s so famous - but he was a very personable guy!”

「我好熟水性，喺漁民家庭長大，有十兄弟姊妹，我係大哥。我哋以前就喺住銅鑼灣避風塘呢度，但係填海填咗咁耐，條海岸線都唔同哂喇。70年代嗰陣，我望住紅隧係點樣起出嚟嘅。我成日同啲水手一齊玩，佢哋好好人嘅，成日帶我去食嘢，去布袋澳食海鮮。呢個工作都辛苦㗎，成日都喺太陽底下，又會打風落雨，但係我已經好習慣喇。始終我哋係水上人，喺海上面就好似喺自己屋企咁。」

「我今年74歲，同我兩個細佬一齊住。我哋冇乜點見其他兄弟姊妹喇，好可惜係失咗聯絡，大家都忙，住喺唔同地方。我好鍾意揸帆船，因為佢令我有機會周圍去遊歷，認識到好多有趣嘅人。我早幾年同老闆一齊去咗墨爾本，參加一個帆船比賽。梁朝偉仲上過我哋隻船添。好記得，因為平時淨係喺螢幕上面先會見到佢㗎嘛，佢咁出名，但係都好平易近人！」
