Schools

Stories have the power to move, connect and mobilise positive impact. We offer storytelling programmes and workshops to schools, universities and education centres. Our programmes are designed to be interactive, project-based and community-focused. We use storytelling techniques to facilitate and inspire students to engage with their community - nurturing essential skills that are applicable to all aspects of work and life.

Our storytelling programmes

We tailor our storytelling programmes to dovetail your curriculum and key objectives.

Format. Our workshops are designed to be fun, interactive and engaging and comprise group activities, brainstorming sessions, presentations, games and role-playing. Each workshop typically lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. Students are given the opportunity to practise newly acquired skills by sourcing and producing their own community stories.

Key skills. Visual storytelling, creative and narrative writing, interviewing and presentation skills, photography, empathy-building and active listening, teamwork.

Elements of storytelling: planning, engaging, listening, connecting and sharing
Application of storytelling skills to everyday life
Social diversity & inclusion; breaking down stereotypes

Hong Kong Shifts is a very dynamic social enterprise who are passionate about social change.
